It is possible to perform various different training exercises at the training centre. These exercises include for example fire extinguishing, smoke diving, chemical safety, environmental damage prevention, rescue assignments, driving emergency runs, providing first aid for the injured and crisis management. The Emergency Services Training Centre also provides security policy training related to corporate security and working abroad.
A rescue simulator consisting of empty tanks, a training simulator for working at heights and city blocks with collapsed structures are being planned to build in the area.
The private sector safety organizations, both small-scale and large-scale, have been our customers. Rescue services, contract fire brigades, industrial safety organizations, security companies, safety and health care educational institutions, various voluntary organizations as well as the Police of Finland, the Finnish Defence Forces and the Finnish Border Guard have been practicing in our training centre.
We can implement various different civilian crisis management training programs with our partners.
The size of the Emergency Services Training Centre of Western Finland is 38 hectares of which approximately 6 hectares is built.
